For those of you who don’t want to be spoiled for the up coming Captain American: The Winter Soldier don’t read the article below that originates from Movieweb.com, and Brainfreeze.be.
According to an advanced review at Brainfreeze.be, there will be two post-credit scenes (often referred too as cookies) included at the end of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, the first of which sets up Avengers: Age of Ultron and introduces three new, and quite anticipated characters. The second finds The Winter Soldier at a Smithsonian exhibit, which was featured in new concept art revealed earlier today. You can see The Winter Soldier looking at the exhibit, he’s the one in the baseball cap.
After the fall of both SHIELD and HYDRA we see Baron Von Strucker (Thomas Kretschmann) in his underground laboratory. His men have the scepter that Loki got hold of, as well as two special prisoners. None other than Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen). The super fast Quicksilver bounces from one side of his cell to another, while Scarlet Witch stacks with her blocks with her mental thoughts. Von Strucker proclaims that “The Age of Miracles” is near. And thus we immediately know how mutants are listed in the Marvel movie universe.
We see the Winter Soldier incognito at the Smithsonian Museum’s Captain America museum. Here, he discovers the real information about James Buchanan “Bucky” Barnes. Threatening music plays, as this Winter Soldier seems to have indeed discovered whom he really is, and that Captain America was telling the truth.
So, these post-credit scenes actually do give quiet a bit away. The Winter Soldier is still alive at the end of Captain America: The Winter Soldier. S.H.I.E.L.D. has fallen. And Hydra has returned. We also get a sense of how ‘mutants’ are being handled in the Marvel cinematic universe owned by Disney. What do you think? Are you sorry you didn’t heed the spoiler warning?Captain America: The Winter Soldier comes to theaters April 4th, 2014 and stars Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L.
